When she arrived back at the house, Sugar saw Axel passionately hugging a woman outside his kitchen door.
Here she was thinking sheâd left the bastard sleeping off the multiple orgasms sheâd given him. God, she was so stupid when it came to males.
Axel warned her he wasnât the faithful type, but geez⦠sheâd made damn sure he was satisfied. Heâd finally turned her down and begged for sleep right before theyâd actually slept.
âHow many women do you need to fuck in one day to be happy?â Sugar demanded, yanking Axel physically away from the woman. She was an incredibly beautiful brunette with green eyes and painted lips. âEvaâs Gargoyles were so right about you. Bad Panther is the perfect name for your whoring, tomcat ass. I refuse to call you Axel anymore.â
When she got a second look at the woman heâd been hugging, Sugar froze. She glanced at Axel over her shoulder while pointing at the strange female. âDid Dr. Moreau come to visit while I was off in the woods? This womanâs part cat, Axel. Are you married and didnât tell me? Thatâs it, isnât it? I swear I should have let the artifact incinerate you when it wanted to. You probably have all kinds of little bad panthers running around all over, donât you?â
Frustrated, Sugar waved her hands in the air before turning to face Axel fully.
âYou know what? It doesnât matter. I donât have time to debate your sexual morals. We all have to get to safety. The artifact just informed me that the Destroyer is here which I took to mean somewhere near your house. The Destroyer is another sentient blade, Axel. And the symbiosis between that blade and its host is complete. I donât think Iâll be able to stop the Destroyer if it tries to come after me.â
Behind her, the woman purredâor laughed. Sugar guiltily turned to face the woman. She was quite beautiful if you went for the cat-human hybrid type. She was like ninety-seven percent human and three percent feline. Her long dark hair fell around cute cat-shaped ears. Her eyes were curious and yet wise.
âLook⦠Iâm sorry, lady. I wasnât trying to get between you and Axel. His boss told me he worked for pussâuh, for services rendered. Thatâs honestly all it was between usâjust fucking servicesâI mean, just services rendered. You can be mad at me later if you want, but right now, we need to get to safety. Iâve got this thing in me, and it can do a lot of incredible shit when confronted with bad guys, but Iâve got a strong feeling that Iâm nowhere near prepared to deal with the Destroyer.â
The male sheâd spent the night sexually pleasuring turned her gently around to face him again and looked deeply into her eyes. âNo. Youâre not capable of dealing with him yet, but soon you will be the Destroyerâs equal. The world has needed a new Protector for a very long time. Please donât tell my son about me.
